2009 Battleground District Awards
The Battleground District Awards Banquet was held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Cleveland County Agricultural Center. Troop 101 was recognized with an award for most Den Chiefs serving the Battleground District Cub Scout Day Camp. Fourteen boys committed a week of their summer vacation to assemble, escort, and lead cub scouts through classes and outdoor activities. This was the third consecutive year that troop 101 earned this award. We are proud of these boys for displaying their outstanding leadership and service to their community!
Scoutmaster, Al Hansen (right) received an award for sending the most boy scouts to Cub Scout Day Camp to serve as den chiefs.
Assistant scoutmaster Carl Anderson (left) was recognized with an award for serving six years at Cub Scout Day Camp in achievements. Carl has organized classes for each cub scout and webelos rank and many requirements are completed duting the week.
Eagle Scout Michael, Life Scouts Matthew, Brandon and Tyler (left to right) were recognized at the District Banquet for their work on the 2009 NYLT Staff. Michael served as ASPL for the traditional NYLT course. Matthew served as Chaplains Aide for the backpacking NYLT course. Brandon and Tyler served as patrol guides for the NYLT traditional course.
